    The FX hydrocyclone operates on the principle of centrifugal sedimentation. The industrial-grade FX hydrocyclone is a common separation and classification device used in non-metallic mineral processing and other fields. The following is a detailed introduction:

Operating Principle: The FX Hydrocyclone operates on the principle of centrifugal sedimentation. When the two-phase mixture to be separated enters the cyclone tangentially from the feed port at a certain pressure, it generates a strong three-dimensional elliptical, highly rotating, shearing vortex. Due to the size difference between coarse and fine particles, they are subjected to different centrifugal, centripetal, buoyancy, and fluid resistance. Under the influence of centrifugal force, most coarse particles spiral downward to the bottom and are discharged from the sedimentation port as sand, while fine particles move upward with the fluid and are discharged from the overflow pipe, thus achieving the purpose of separation and classification.

Structural Features: The core component is the cyclone, which is a conical container with a cylindrical portion. The inner conical portion of the cone is called the liquid chamber. An inlet pipe is located on the outside of the cone, connecting tangentially to the liquid chamber. The top of the vessel is the overflow port, and the bottom is the underflow port. A hollow circular tube extends from the top into the liquid chamber along the axis of the cyclone. This tube is called the overflow pipe.


Model Specifications: FX Hydrocyclones are available in various models, each with varying parameters such as diameter, cone angle, overflow particle size, and processing capacity. For example, the FX-125 has a diameter of 125mm, a cone angle of 20 degrees, an overflow particle size of 20-50μm, and a processing capacity of 3.1-6.1m³/h; the FX-350 has a diameter of 350mm, a cone angle of 20 degrees, an overflow particle size of 50-110μm, and a processing capacity of 74-90m³/h. Wear-Resistant Materials: Primarily, we utilize a mild steel shell with various linings, including rubber lining (FX-GX series), Ceramic Lining (FX-GT series), and polyurethane lining (FX-GJ series). We also offer options with a solid polyurethane material (FX-PU series) and a mild steel shell with a KM wear-resistant ceramic lining (FX-GK series) to meet the wear resistance requirements of various materials and operating conditions.


Applications: FX Hydrocyclones are widely used in operations such as grinding, grading, thickening, and tailings damming in metal mines. They are also used in kaolin sorting, coal preparation, and pulp removal in non-metallic mines. They are also used in liquid-solid separation, wastewater recovery, and industrial circulating water desanding in the chemical industry.
