The Peat water thickening hydrocyclone uses centrifugal force to separate materials. Pressurized peat water is injected into the cyclone chamber at high speed through a tangential inlet, creating a strong rotating flow field. This fluid generates a double helical motion within the cyclone. The outer vortex flows downward along the conical wall, carrying denser or coarser peat particles through the bottom outlet, concentrating the peat. The inner vortex flows upward, collecting less dense or fine particles and most of the water before being discharged through the top overflow pipe.
